At Netloop, we aim to provide business-grade performance with the simplicity of a single residential plan. Our core offering is a high-speed 500/50 Mbps service on the AAPT Fast Fiber Business Network; however, the actual speed and availability of this plan are determined by the physical infrastructure at your premises.
Understanding Your Connection Compatibility
-
The nbn® network is made up of various technologies. Because 500/50 speeds require significant bandwidth, they are currently only supported by specific connection types:
-
Fibre to the Premises (FTTP): This is the "gold standard." A dedicated fibre optic line runs directly into your building, making it fully compatible with our 500/50 plan.
-
Hybrid Fibre Coaxial (HFC): Often known as "Cable" internet, most HFC premises are eligible for the 500/50 plan, though speed availability is subject to a final Service Qualification check.
-
Fibre to the Node (FTTN): These connections use existing copper wiring for the final leg of the journey. Because copper has physical speed limitations, FTTN cannot currently reach 500 Mbps.
Our "Fastest Possible" Guarantee for FTTN
-
If your premises is currently on FTTN, you don't have to miss out on the Netloop experience. Here is how we bridge the gap for you:
-
Maximum Speed Today: We will place you on the absolute fastest speed your copper line can handle (typically up to 100 Mbps) at no additional cost.
-
The Waiting List: We monitor nbn®'s rollout schedule for your specific address.
-
The FTTP Upgrade: As part of nbn®’s ongoing network "flip to fibre" program, many FTTN areas are being upgraded to FTTP. Once your area becomes eligible, we will facilitate a free upgrade to a full fibre connection.
-
Automatic Speed Boost: Once the fibre is installed, your service will be automatically boosted to the full 500/50 Mbps plan.
Note: If you require speeds exceeding 500 Mbps, please explore our Metroway nbn™ plans, which offer multi-gigabit options and symmetrical speeds. The Netloop plan is a comprehensive solution designed to bring business-grade NBN performance to residential customers at an affordable price.
